KRISO – Korea Research Institute of Ships and Ocean Engineering

KRISO, established in 1973, has been around for 40 years. On January 1, 2014, KRISO was launched as an affilate of Korea Institute of Ocean Science and Technology.
As a leader in technology development in ship and ocean engineering, KRISO is striving to resolve national problems by developing, applying, commercializing and researching original technology. KRISO is also making efforts to meet hte demand for technology and policy by carrying out innovative research on leading international standards.
To this end, KRISO in conducting research in a range of areas, including environmentally friendly future shipping technology, ships and ocean engineering technology, maritime accident response and marine traffic system technology, and underwater robot and maritime equipment technology.
