Vissim AS

Vissim is a VTS Software developer and Systems Integration company that has supplied VTS solutions to Ports, Coastal and Offshore Customers. Our key customers include leading, blue chip, Oil & Gas companies such as Equinor (was Statoil) of Norway and BP in Azerbaijan. Our system for Equinor integrates multiple offshore platforms (including using IVEF) and is probably the largest implementation of VTS technology anywhere in the world.

Vissim can offer advanced VHF communication with built in direct dial facilities that remove the need for Channel 16 hailing and thereby reduce Operator workload. We can offer integrated and Automatic Oil Spill Detection to raise an alarm when a vessel causes pollution. For the Offshore Wind sector, Vissim worked with Energy companies to create a means of monitoring the safety of offshore workers as well as managing navigational safety around the wind farm.

Our technology is based on modern IT techniques and meets all international standards relating to VTS (including eNavigation integration). It is well proven and reliable. Vissim owns all of its own software and where new requirements need specialist functionality, Vissim is able to respond and develop its software to support the customer’s requirement.

Whether the application is for Ports, Coastal or Offshore surveillance, Vissim can offer a leading edge solution that will meet your requirements.
