International Dictionary of Marine Aids to Navigation |
also known as "The IALA Dictionary
When using the Dictionary Search Engine you should note that:
- the search is not case-sensitive, so ATON, aton and AtoN all give the same result
- if you enter the word light, it will not return pages with the word lights or lighting
- a search will only return pages that contain all the words in your search since the search engine operates on whole words separated by spaces or punctuation marks
- you can search for an exact phrase using double quotes, so if you are searching for a term using the original IALA Dictionary numbering format e.g. 4-3-045 you should do an exact phrase search by enclosing the number in double quotes i.e. "4-3-045" to ensure a correct search result.
