Gentle reminder! Diplomatic Conference

Only a few weeks remain before the start of the four-day Diplomatic Conference scheduled to be held from Tuesday 25th to Friday 28th February 2020 at the Hotel Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

National members, Government representatives and delegates from partner international organizations wishing to participate but who have yet to register are kindly requested to do so online soonest (https://www.iala.int/product/diplomatic-conference), using their login and password. Registration before 15th February would be greatly appreciated to facilitate logistical arrangements. The Secretariat thanks all participants in advance for their kind cooperation.

All the input papers – including the full Conference programme in three languages – are available on the IALA website (https://www.iala.int/meetings/diplomatic-conference/); a login and password is needed to gain access..

Those requiring a visa may obtain a formal letter of invitation from the Minister of Transport of Malaysia. In case additional information is required, it is best to e-mail Mrs Nur IIyana Noordin (ilyana@mot.gov.my), who is the host Point of Contact in Malaysia.

The World-Wide Academy will conduct a one-day Seminar on Safety of Navigation immediately prior to the Diplomatic Conference, on 24th February. This event will focus on the implementation of IALA Standards for the purpose of worldwide harmonization of Marine Aids to Navigation and related services. This event will also take place at the Hotel Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur and is free of charge.
