IALA’s MBS Booklet was translated to Arabic

Dr. Mohammed Abdul Ghafar Abdullah the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Republic of France met Mr Mahdi Al Mosawi, the first technical advisor seconded from the Middle East Region to the International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities (IALA), headquartered near Paris. Mr Al Mosawi works for Middle East Navigation Aids Services (MENAS) in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The Bahraini Ambassador received from Mr Al Mosawi a copy of the Maritime Buoyage System and other Aids to Navigation (MBS) booklet which he contributed to translate to Arabic.  This work was sponsored by (MENAS). It is an important step because the Booklet is heavily relied on by all Port Authorities, companies that provide marine aids services and the Maritime world in general. It will be circulated to all Arab member states of the Organization (IALA).

Dr. Abdul Ghaffar appreciated the achievements of Bahraini youths who continue their contribution to the different fields in the Kingdom of Bahrain. He also praised the efforts of Mr Al Mosawi during the period of his delegation to (IALA), with particular focus being placed on his contribution of translating the (IALA) Maritime Buoyage System and other Aids to Navigation (MBS) booklet to Arabic.
